In a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Saudi Arabia reaffirmed its commitment to facilitating a permanent peace between Russia and Ukraine, a stance the kingdom has maintained since the onset of the Ukrainian crisis.
The statement noted that Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud had, during a phone call on March 3, 2022, with both President Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, expressed Saudi Arabia's readiness to contribute its good offices towards achieving a political resolution to the conflict.
Over the past three years, the kingdom has actively pursued these diplomatic efforts, which have included hosting multiple meetings aimed at resolving the ongoing tensions between Russia and Ukraine.
