Sultan of Umm Al-Quwain Receives Condolences for the Passing of His Mother
Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla mourns the loss of his mother, Sheikha Hissa bint Hamid Al Shamsi, with tributes from local and international dignitaries.
Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, the Ruler of Umm Al-Quwain and member of the UAE Supreme Council, received condolences on October 31, 2023, following the passing of his mother, the late Sheikha Hissa bint Hamid Al Shamsi.
The condolences were received in the royal court in Umm Al-Quwain, attended by a range of dignitaries, including Sheikh Rashid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, the Crown Prince of Umm Al-Quwain.
Sheikh Surour bin Mohammed Al Nahyan offered his heartfelt condolences to Sheikh Saud and Sheikh Rashid.
During his visit to the mourning council, he expressed his sympathy and condolences to Sheikh Saud and the Al Mualla family, praying for the deceased's soul to rest in peace and for the family to find solace.
Other notable figures who expressed their sympathies included Sheikh Bati bin Maktoum Al Maktoum, Sheikh Sultan bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, the Chairman of the 'Fakhr Al Watan' office, Lieutenant General Sheikh Ahmed bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Deputy Chief of Staff of the UAE Armed Forces, and Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, among various other leaders and officials.
The Ruler of Umm Al-Quwain also received condolences from Major General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, along with senior officers, who extended their prayers for the departed and consolation to her family.
International condolences came from Martina Strong, the U.S. Ambassador to the UAE, and Ou Bokean, the Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Dubai and Northern Emirates, as well as Sultan Al Bakri, the Deputy Ambassador of Yemen.
Additionally, numerous community members, business leaders, and financial officials also paid their respects.
The mourning gathering was attended by various dignitaries, including Sheikh Hamid bin Ahmed Al Mualla, Sheikh Khalid bin Rashid Al Mualla, Chief of the Amiri Diwan; Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid Al Mualla; Sheikh Saif bin Rashid Al Mualla, Head of the Department of Economic Development; and several other members of the Al Mualla family and key government officials.
