Dismissals follow allegations of disloyalty from right-wing activist Laura Loomer.
American officials have confirmed that President
Donald Trump has dismissed Major General Timothy Hoh, Director of the National Security Agency (NSA), along with his civilian deputy Wendy Noble and several other members of the National Security Council (NSC).
This decision comes amid concerns regarding the loyalty of these officials, as alleged by right-wing activist Laura Loomer.
Loomer claimed in a report that she advocated for these dismissals during a meeting with President Trump.
She specifically urged the removal of officials from the NSC who she perceived as being disloyal to the President, and expressed particular concern over General Hoh's position.
Loomer emphasized that Hoh was originally appointed in 2023 at the recommendation of former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark Milley, who endorsed Hoh for leadership of both the NSA and U.S. Cyber Command.
Sources indicate that President Trump instructed Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth to carry out the dismissal of General Hoh.
Loomer later reiterated on her social media platform that both Hoh and Noble had 'betrayed' President Trump, which she claims justified their removal.
These significant changes in personnel come amid ongoing scrutiny regarding the political allegiances of senior security officials within the current administration.
