UAE and Montenegro Strengthen Bilateral Relations Through Strategic Agreements
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan meet with Montenegrin Prime Minister Milojko Spajić to enhance cooperation across various sectors.
DUBAI: His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, welcomed Milojko Spajić, Prime Minister of Montenegro, on March 29, 2025, as part of Spajić's working visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The meeting focused on exploring new opportunities to strengthen relations between the two nations, particularly in economic collaboration and strategic cooperation across key sectors including renewable energy, food security, infrastructure, technology, and tourism.
Sheikh Mohammed expressed the UAE's commitment to enhancing partnerships that align with shared development objectives and emphasized innovation and sustainability in future initiatives.
Prime Minister Spajić showcased Montenegro's desire to deepen engagement with the UAE, aiming to leverage emerging prospects that match both countries' economic ambitions.
In a separate engagement on March 28, 2025, UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan also met with Spajić at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi.
Discussions during this meeting extended to enhancing cooperation in priority sectors, with an emphasis on fostering sustainable economic growth.
President Sheikh Mohamed reflected on the UAE’s ongoing commitment to strengthening development partnerships with Balkan nations, including Montenegro, where significant investments have been made particularly in renewable energy and infrastructure.
The leaders exchanged views on regional and global issues, advocating for the resolution of conflicts through diplomatic means to support progress and stability.
During this meeting, Sheikh Mohamed oversaw the signing of two bilateral agreements in the fields of economy and tourism, formalizing the commitment of both nations to enhance mutual cooperation.
