UAE Announces Privat Sector Holidays for Eid Al Fitr 2025
The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation confirms public and private sector holidays for the festive period.
The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation in the United Arab Emirates has announced the official holidays for private sector employees for Eid Al Fitr in 2025. The holidays will take place from Sunday, March 30, to Tuesday, April 1. This announcement applies to all private sector employees across the country.
In a statement shared via its official social media channels, the ministry indicated that if Ramadan concludes on the 30th day, the holiday period would be extended to include an additional day, making Wednesday, April 2, 2025, a paid holiday as well.
In a related announcement, the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) declared holidays for federal government employees.
According to their circular, federal employees will observe holidays from April 1 to April 3, 2025, coinciding with the 1st to the 3rd of Shawwal 1446 AH in the Islamic calendar.
Work is scheduled to resume on April 4, 2025.
Should the month of Ramadan last for the full 30 days, the 30th day of Ramadan will be treated as an additional public holiday for federal employees, further extending the Eid Al Fitr break.
