The UAE Cycling Team has recorded notable successes this week, achieving two significant victories by its star riders, Slovenian Tadej Pogačar and Portuguese Ivo Oliveira, at the Critérium du Dauphiné in France and the Tour of Slovenia, respectively.
In France, Tadej Pogačar secured victory in the first stage of the Critérium du Dauphiné 2025, navigating a challenging mountainous course that culminated at the summit of Montluçon.
Pogačar completed the stage in a time of 4 hours, 40 minutes, and 12 seconds, finishing ahead of Danish cyclist Jonas Vingegaard of Team Jumbo-Visma and Matteo van der Poel of Alpecin-Deceuninck, thus taking the lead and donning the yellow jersey.
Meanwhile, in Slovenia, Ivo Oliveira clinched victory in the fifth and final stage of the Tour of Slovenia, executing a tactical performance over a distance of 124 kilometers.
Additionally, Austrian Felix Großschartner, also from the UAE Team, finished in second place in the overall standings of the Tour of Slovenia.
