UAE Engages in World Hydrogen Summit 2025 in the Netherlands
Highlighting its commitment to clean energy, the UAE showcased its hydrogen strategy and international collaboration at the summit in Rotterdam.
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) actively participated in the World Hydrogen Summit 2025 held in Rotterdam, Netherlands, an event that underscores the country's position in the global clean energy landscape.
The UAE's Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure attended the summit as part of ongoing efforts to accelerate the shift towards a low-carbon economy and fortify its role as a global leader in hydrogen technologies.
During the summit, the ministry presented at the main session titled "Enhancing Renewable Hydrogen Production and Reducing Costs," detailing the UAE's experience in developing the 'National Hydrogen Strategy 2050.' This strategy aims to create a low-emission economy and achieve climate neutrality within a clear and ambitious timeline.
The UAE also participated in the ministerial meeting of the International Hydrogen Trade Forum (IHTF), which convenes high-level officials, decision-makers, and executives to coordinate global policies, develop supply chains, and establish cross-border trade routes for clean hydrogen.
Additionally, within the German pavilion at the summit, the ministry took part in a dialogue session called "Energy Cooperation with Gulf Countries," focusing on opportunities for Gulf-European integration in hydrogen projects and connecting markets via clean energy corridors.
This participation reflects the UAE's commitment to supporting the global transition to sustainable energy sources and reinforces its leadership role in advancing the hydrogen agenda on both regional and international fronts, enhancing its status as a reliable partner in the future of global energy.
