The UAE's federal government is projected to generate revenues of 74.5 billion AED in 2024, according to the federal budget bill presented during a session of the Federal National Council.
This document outlines the unified financial accounts for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2024. In comparison, the actual expenditures for the same fiscal year are expected to total 63.7 billion AED, reflecting a balanced fiscal approach.
The total assets of the federal government are projected to stand at 446.4 billion AED.
Notably, actual expenditures on salaries and wages are anticipated to reach 24 billion AED, which will allow for the hiring of 3,961 new employees, including 2,214 Emirati nationals.
In social welfare and benefits, the government plans to allocate approximately 10.6 billion AED to support vulnerable groups, including the elderly, orphans, individuals with disabilities, and those with limited income.
The total number of families expected to benefit from social support schemes is around 57,000.
Furthermore, initiatives aimed at strengthening the Emirati family include enabling 3,052 Emiratis to start their marital lives, as well as organizing community weddings for more than 400 participants.
Employment initiatives have also led to the hiring of over 100 individuals with disabilities, and the number of students benefiting from centers for people of determination has increased to 1,071.
Infrastructure development has seen significant investment, with more than 1.6 billion AED allocated for the establishment, development, maintenance, and illumination of federal roads, government buildings, schools, and hospitals.
