Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), recently met with Marco Rubio, the United States Secretary of State, during an official visit to Washington, D.C. The meeting took place at the U.S. State Department, where both leaders discussed the strategic relations between the two countries and explored ways to enhance cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
The discussions encompassed various dimensions of bilateral cooperation, particularly in economic, commercial, scientific, advanced technology, and artificial intelligence sectors.
The ministers also reflected on the state visit by former President
Donald Trump to the UAE in May, which yielded significant outcomes that underscored the depth of bilateral relations and a shared commitment to advancing collaborative efforts across all fields.
During the meeting, Sheikh Abdullah expressed appreciation for the enduring strategic partnership between the UAE and the United States, recognizing the U.S. as a crucial ally for the Emirates.
He emphasized the UAE’s eagerness to collaborate effectively to strengthen this unique relationship, aimed at further progress and prosperity for both nations and the sustainable development of their peoples.
Furthermore, the dialogue included a review of regional developments.
Sheikh Abdullah reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to working with the United States and all regional and international partners to promote peace and stability in the region and to uphold values of coexistence and humanitarian brotherhood within communities.
