UAE National Guard Conducts 168 Search and Rescue Operations in Q1 2025
Comprehensive data reveals extensive operational commitment towards lifesaving interventions both domestically and internationally.
Abu Dhabi: The UAE National Guard Command has reported that it conducted a total of 168 search and rescue operations on land and at sea during the first quarter of 2025, covering the period from January 1 to March 31. This initiative is part of the National Guard's ongoing efforts to enhance its rapid response capabilities in emergency conditions as part of the 'Year of Community' initiative.
Among the highlighted efforts, the Coast Guard was responsible for executing 23 search and rescue missions within the waters of the Arabian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman.
Concurrently, the National Search and Rescue Center spearheaded 145 operations, which included 34 specific search and rescue missions and medical evacuations in conjunction with various relevant authorities.
In addition, the operational capacity of the center was underscored by its execution of nine medical transport and air ambulance missions within the United Arab Emirates, as well as four similar operations conducted abroad.
The National Guard has reiterated its commitment to safeguarding lives through the integration of advanced technology and specialized equipment designed to facilitate efficient and timely interventions across diverse landscapes.
