UAE Youth Jiu-Jitsu Team Secures 11 Medals at Asian Championship
The team achieved two gold, three silver, and six bronze medals in a competitive event for athletes under 14.
The UAE Jiu-Jitsu national team concluded the Asian Youth Championship for under-14 athletes, achieving a total of 11 medals.
The team earned two gold medals, three silver medals, and six bronze medals in a day filled with strong performances from some of the top talents in Asia.
The gold medalists included Omar Mansoor Al Balushi in the 32 kg category and Khalifa Al Yamahi in the 48 kg category.
Silver medals were secured by Omar Al Jabri in the 48 kg class, Hamdan Khalid Mohammed in the 62 kg class, and Saif Jumaa Yaqoob in the 69 kg category.
Additionally, bronze medals were awarded to Shaikhan Saif Ghazi in the -32 kg category, Abdul Rahman Tahir Al Breiki in the -36 kg category, Ali Mufaq Al Najjar in the -44 kg category, Ahmed Suhail in the 52 kg category, Al Ghaith Al Badi in the -56 kg category, and Al Dheeb Al Awlaki in the 69 kg category.
Fahad Ali Al Shamsi, the Secretary-General of both the UAE and Asian Jiu-Jitsu federations, praised the performance of the national team.
He stated that the accomplishments reflect the hard work and advanced training programs adopted by the federation, supported by the leadership of the UAE.
The achievements of the UAE youth team underline the federation's strategy to build a strong foundation for Jiu-Jitsu in the country, illustrating the growing prominence of the sport on both a continental and international level.
