Unified Response System Activated to Combat Fire at Al Hamriyah Port
Emergency services in Sharjah coordinate to extinguish a significant fire involving flammable materials.
The Sharjah Police General Command and the Sharjah Civil Defense Authority, along with national teams, continued their extensive efforts late into the night to control a fire that broke out yesterday at Al Hamriyah Port involving flammable materials.
The incident saw a rapid and integrated field response, which included Civil Defense teams from various emirates, the National Guard, joint aviation units, as well as municipalities from Sharjah and Al Hamriyah, in addition to the Ministry of Defense.
This coordinated effort was part of a unified response system aimed at containing the fire and addressing it with the highest safety and efficiency standards.
Major General Abdullah Mubarak bin Amer, the Sharjah Police Chief and head of the Emergency, Crisis, and Disaster Team in Sharjah, reported that there were no recorded injuries.
He noted that the firefighting operations continued late into the night, with a priority placed on protecting lives and property.
In statements to the press, he mentioned that specialized teams utilized the latest equipment and followed the highest standards of response, while also warning against the circulation of rumors.
