ADNOC to Upskill 40,000 Employees in Artificial Intelligence
The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company aims to enhance its workforce’s AI skills and develop 600 experts by 2025.
The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) has announced an initiative to develop the skills of over 40,000 employees in the fundamentals of artificial intelligence (AI).
The company plans to train and prepare 600 engineers to become specialists in the field of AI by the end of 2025. According to Nida Al-Maqbali, Vice President for Future Outlook and the Innovation Lab at ADNOC, the company is focused on enhancing human capital and empowering its workforce to leverage AI tools and applications effectively.
This effort is intended to maximize productivity and improve operational efficiency, ensuring that ADNOC personnel are well-equipped to adapt to future challenges.
Al-Maqbali emphasized ADNOC's ambition to become the world's most AI-efficient energy company, which will involve forging strategic partnerships with leading technology firms both within and outside the UAE.
The collaborations aim to develop advanced tools that can enhance oil and gas production processes while monitoring them independently with reduced costs and emissions.
Furthermore, ADNOC has partnered with Group E& to establish the largest private fifth-generation wireless network in the energy sector, covering an area of 11,000 square kilometers.
This infrastructure will enable ADNOC to implement AI-powered solutions for remote access to both onshore and offshore operations.
ADNOC has positioned itself as a pioneer in AI application, leveraging decades of innovation and technology advancements.
The company currently employs over 30 AI technologies and tools across its value chain, from operational fields to corporate decision-making processes, yielding significant value from these technologies.
