International Energy Agency forecasts significant rise in clean energy spending amid economic uncertainties.
According to the International Energy Agency (IEA), global energy investments are projected to reach a record high of $3.3 trillion by the year 2025, driven largely by increased spending on clean energy initiatives despite prevailing economic uncertainties and geopolitical tensions.
The IEA's annual report on global energy investment highlights that clean energy technologies, which encompass renewable energy, nuclear energy, and energy storage solutions, are expected to attract investments totaling approximately $2.2 trillion.
This figure is estimated to be double that directed towards fossil fuels.
Additionally, the report identifies solar energy as the sector poised to benefit the most, with investments projected to reach $450 billion by 2025.
