Pilgrims Perform Tawaf al-Ifadah in Spiritual Atmosphere
Massive crowds gather at the Grand Mosque as pilgrims mark a critical phase of Hajj rituals.
Pilgrims at the Grand Mosque in Mecca are participating in Tawaf al-Ifadah today, one of the essential rites of the Hajj pilgrimage, following their observance of standing at the plain of Arafat, spending the night at Muzdalifah, and performing the ritual of casting stones at the largest Jamrah in Mina.
From early morning, large numbers of pilgrims entered the Grand Mosque to fulfill this rite amidst an atmosphere filled with spirituality, humility, and tranquility.
Authorities have implemented a comprehensive service system to facilitate the smooth performance of rituals, ensuring an organized and efficient operational plan.
The General Authority for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque has coordinated with various relevant entities to manage crowd movement within the Mataf area and the designated pathways for Tawaf.
Enhanced cleanliness and sterilization efforts have been intensified, alongside the provision of multilingual guidance and emergency medical services available around the clock.
Following the Tawaf al-Ifadah, pilgrims will continue their rituals at Mina during the days of Tashreeq, where they will perform the symbolic stoning of the three Jamaraat.
The pilgrimage will conclude for most with Tawaf al-Wada, or the Farewell Tawaf, before departing Mecca, reflecting on their experiences and seeking acceptance of their worship.
