Dubai Opens World's Largest Visa Application Center

VFS Global launches a state-of-the-art facility aimed at enhancing global mobility and supporting economic growth.
VFS Global, a leading provider of technology services and outsourcing for governments and diplomatic missions, has announced the opening of its largest visa application center in Dubai.

This facility is described as the biggest of its kind worldwide.

The center was inaugurated by Helal Saeed Al Marri, Director General of the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, alongside Major General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, and Zubin Karkaria, Founder and CEO of VFS Global.

Al Marri stated that the opening of this center reflects Dubai's advanced infrastructure and its strategic objective of enhancing global mobility.

He emphasized that the center aims to provide more opportunities and accelerate the economic growth of the city by facilitating business establishment procedures and attracting an increasing number of visitors.

He further noted that improving ease of access to and from Dubai remains a priority, aligning with the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33.

Al Marri highlighted the importance of simplifying visa acquisition as a fundamental element in attracting talent, boosting tourism, and fostering international partnerships, which are crucial to establishing Dubai as a global hub connecting cities worldwide.

Major General Al Marri pointed out that the launch represents a significant step forward in the UAE's ongoing journey toward excellence, particularly for Dubai, a city renowned for its innovation.

He remarked that this initiative exemplifies the government’s commitment to enhancing the UAE’s status as a global center for smart services and establishing a unique model for delivering high-quality government services, emphasizing that continuous development is a commitment to a more prosperous future.

Zubin Karkaria remarked on the remarkable growth of the UAE over the past two decades, noting its emergence as a prominent global business and innovation hub.

He added that the world’s largest visa application center is now operational in Dubai, serving residents from over 200 nationalities.

The center spans approximately 150,000 square feet and is equipped to handle up to 10,000 visa applications daily, making it the most capacious center for visa applications globally.

The facility employs a team of over 400 trained experts from more than 25 nationalities.
